Photos from Burma/India 1940's

Theres a family photo of my great grandad and grandma with two with other people, and I want to incorporate that into my work also, I'm thinking about hanging the photos from my canvases or having them sewn into the canvases, but I want my work to flow off the canvases so I'll probably hang them off the canvases.  I was given these photos by another family member, these photos were taken by his mother in Rangoon (I think, although they might have been taken in India) In the early 1940's, wether they were taken before the evacuations in 1942/3 or after I'm not sure.  This photo seems to be of very detailed architecture which represents the effort and hard work people at that time spent into making things look pristine and fancy, the symmetrical details and repeating patterns help represent things were orderly, neat and under control.
